[Starts checking places for something important that is stopping you from proceeding]
Check:
- Outside jacket pockets
- Pants pockets
- In jacket pockets
- Back pockets
- Gets Bible from front seat, leafs through
- Looks Under chair
- Checks Music stand
- Looks in top of piano lid
- Back on Center stage, shut eyes, mime writing a note, then tying two shoelaces
- Open eyes excited: Shoe! You remember you put it in your shoe!
- Open note and read, all it says is
“Welcome to [your] church”
“Has anyone ever lost an object really valuable object?
Maybe you lost it for a short time or maybe it’s still lost.
Is anyone willing to share? Ring? Keys? Passport.
Follow up questions:
Is it still lost?
Was there great joy when/if you found it?
Tell a story of your own lost and found and the great rejoicing.
[Forget why you’re on stage. Look for your note again and finder it fairly quickly this time and read it again, and leave.]
