Presence for Mothers [Mother's day children's story]

Performance: Castle Hill Seventh-day Adventist Church - May 11, 2019

I’d like only the children who have ever had a mummy to come down the front please.

( while waiting: Who in the audience has ever had a mother? A grandmother? Great grandmother... related to Eve?)

Who here has, or has had a mum?

Have any of you ever made something for your mum for Mother’s Day?

Did it have hearts on it?

Why did you put hearts on your present?

If you had all the money in the world - what would you give your mum for Mother’s Day?

[ask every child individually]

What giving her
  • about a flower farm, so you mother always has roses
  • a shopping center
  • a Ferrari
  • the Sydney Opera House so she can go to all the shows, or perform herself
  • a cruise ship
  • a tropical island resort. So she can get her hair done, nails done, eyebrows and eyelashes done, legs done, her lips done..
  •  Disneyland
Do you know what the two most favorite things in the whole world your mum would like from you.

The second most favorite - is for you to love her.

What do you think the MOST favorite thing would be?

The thing your mother would like most from you is for you to love Jesus.

Why is that the BEST gift your mum could ever want from you - you loving Jesus?
Why is it Better than a tropical island as a gift. [or other things mentioned by the kids]

When Jesus comes back your mum will have to leave behind the tropical islands and other gifts you've given her.

BUT if she loves Jesus, and YOU love Jesus, then you can be together forever and ever and ever. And that's what your mother would love most from you. to be together forever.
